In 2013 I presented an idea to the National Center for Voice & Speech (NCVS) Singers’ Workshop. Amid continued research on US birth culture and contemplating the clinical practices in my own field, I began gathering my thoughts. I proposed that the Evidence-Based Medical (EBM) model be utilized broadly across the field of music. I am sharing the slides from that presentation as a “sneak peak” of sorts. Some of the slides are intuitive, but others require much explanation. Part of my job here on this blog is to do just that.
